CSR BRADFORD INSULATION PRODUCT RANGE CSR
Bradford Insulation manufactures a variety of insulation
products. Bradford Gold Batts, Rockwool Soundscreen and Anticon
Blanket are made from bulk insulation materials. They work
because the insulation material traps air restricting the passage
of heat both in summer and winter, also providing additional acoustic
benefits. Bradford Enviroseal reflects heat and controls
condensation. The maximum thermal efficiency is attained when both
insulation materials are used together.
Bradford
Gold Batts
Australia's most popular home
insulation batt. Spun from molten glass, Bradford Gold Batts
provide excellent value for money when thermal insulation is required.
Gold Batts meet Australian Standard AS 3742.
Bradford
Rockwool Soundscreen
Bradford Rockwool Insulation is spun
from pure basalt rock and blast furnace material. Bradford
Rockwool is Australia's premium acoustic
and thermal insulation.
Bradford
Enviroseal
Wrapping the house in Enviroseal at construction
stage is a cost effective way of providing both protective and insulating
benefits. When used under the roof tiles, Enviroseal
acts as a weather proof sarking to prevent water damage. Enviroseal
should always be used in conjunction with Bradford Batts
or blanket for effective insulation performance.
Bradford
Anticon Blanket
A
glasswool blanket faced with foil to provide thermal and acoustic
insulation and a moisture barrier under metal deck roof.

WALL
INSULATION
Walls
should be insulated during construction. Bradford Gold Wall
Batts or Rockwool Soundscreen Batts are both
suitable for insulating external brick veneer and internal timber
frame walls.
Installed in your external brick veneer walls. Bradford Gold
or Soundscreen Wall Batts can stop up to 70% of the
heat which passes through. Fire resistance is also greatly improved.
Bradford
Gold Wall Batts are rigid so they remain upright
in the wall cavity. They are also treated to prevent moisture
passing through the wall.
Bradford Soundscreen Wall Batts are the 'premier'
wall insulation product. When installed in external walls, as well
as providing thermal benefits, they reduce outside noise entering
your home. When installed in internal walls, they greatly improve
the comfort of your living environment.
Remember,
it is extremely difficult and costly to insulate walls after
the home is constructed.
CEILING
INSULATION
To
gain maximum comfort for your home, installation of ceiling batts
is recommended at the time of construction. With Bradford
Gold Batts or Soundscreen Ceiling Batts, which come in a
full range of "R values", you can stop up to 70% of heat
flowing through your home's ceilings which is the area of greatest
heat loss in the home.

ANTICON ROOFING BLANKET
Bradford
Anticon Roofing Blanket provides important insulation benefits
to a home with a metal roof. Living under an uninsulated metal roof
can often be too noisy, too hot or too cold.
- Reduces
heat entering the home through the roof in summer and escaping
in winter
- Reduces
rain, street and aircraft noise
- Controls
under-roof condensation which can damage timber rafters
- Lowers energy
bills by enabling a more efficient use of cooling or heating
equipment (i.e. once the home is heated or cooled, the equipment
can maintain this comfortable level at a lower degree of power)
- Helps the
environment by enabling homeowners to use less energy.
- Can help
retard the spread of a roof-space fire.
Anticon
is rolled out over the roof rafters before the metal roof is applied.
The blanket requires no additional fixing, making installation a
breeze.
Anticon
consists of Bradford Glasswool insulation faced with
aluminum foil. The Glasswool acts as an insulator
and noise barrier. The foil aluminum prevents condensation forming
on the underside of the roof.
Anticon
in its various R ratings is available 1200mm wide and can be cut
to length to suit various roof lengths. Standard length 15m
rolls are also available.

ENVIROSEAL ROOF SARKING
One
of the great benefits of insulating during construction is that
you can sark your roof. 'Sarking' is the term given to a vapour
barrier designed to collect and expel water, moisture and dust that
might enter your tiled roof. Enviroseal sarking will give your roof
real protection from the weather and dust at very little cost.
CSR
Bradford Enviroseal is your guarantee of quality and complies
to Australian Standards. Used in conjunction with Bradford
ceiling batts, Enviroseal will enhance the thermal performance
of your insulation in summer.

ENVIROSEAL
WALL WRAPS
Wrapping
your walls in Enviroseal at the time of construction
is not only energy efficient but also cost and time efficient. Enviroseal
forms an effective vapour barrier reducing the transfer of moisture
from external walls to internal walls that can cause condensation,
mildew and the resulting odours. Enviroseal
also acts as a dust barrier keeping the interior of your home cleaner.
An
added bonus is that Enviroseal wall wrap gives weather
protection whilst building. Work can continue inside even in wet
weather. Enviroseal also gives you a thermal insulation
benefit when used in conjunction with Bradford Batts.
UNDERFLOOR
INSULATION
Bradford
Gold or Soundscreen Batts positioned between
the joists under uncarpeted timber floors can significantly reduce
heat loss. A great benefit when you consider that 10% of the heat
escaping from your home passes through the floor. In two-storey
homes batts can be used in-between levels to reduce heat transfer
and significantly reduce noise.
In cold climates
or where floor heating is used, the edges of the slab on ground
floors can be insulated with rigid sheets of bulk insulation.

ROOF
VENTILATION SYSTEMS
Ventilation
is simply the process of replacing stale, hot air with clean,
fresh air. This process makes your life more comfortable in three
ways:
- A
more comfortable summer. Windmaster
extracts super heated attic air enabling it to be replaced
by fresh air through tiles or under eave vents. Roof space
temperatures can be reduced from 60'C to 45'.C, in turn,
reducing the amount of heat radiating into the home.
- Lower
energy bills. Ducted
air conditioning systems operate far more efficiently with
roof space ventilation.
- Less
roof space moisture. Up
to 12 litres of moisture per day is drawn into roof spaces
from shower and kitchen fans. This can cause mould and
mildew.
UNIQUE
AUSTRALIAN DESIGN
Windmaster
is a 300mm throat aluminum ventilator which has been specially
designed for Australian conditions. Unique features and benefits
include:
- Dual bottom
bearing system. Windmaster uses two precision steel bearings
located in a patented bottom bearing assembly. This ensures
smooth and quiet operation.
- Replaceable
bearings. Windmaster is the first domestic vent where the bearings
can be easily replaced by the homeowner.
- Dome reinforced
against hail. The life of a ventilator cam be lessened if the
dynamic balance of the product is upset by hail damage. Windmaster
has a special reinforced dome designed to provide extra resistance
against hail.
- Large range
of colours. Windmaster is available in an extensive range of
colours including - mill, brown, black, homestead,
heritage red, caulfield green, white, mist green, rivergum,
beige and slate grey.
- Withstands
severe wind and rain. In independent laboratory tests, Windmaster
withstood wind velocities of 1 80km/hr and satisfied the international
Rain Dynamic Rain Penetration Test.
- Lifetime
Warranty. Edmonds offers a lifetime warranty on the body of
the ventilator, for the original installation. A separate 10
year warranty is provided for the bearings but these are easily
replaceable.
- Fits all
roof types. Windmaster's "Vari-Pitch" throat and
malleable flashing suits all roof type with slopes from zero
to 45'.
OTHER ACCESSORIES
Edmonds also
makes available Under Eave Vents and WhirlyMate, an open and
closeable ceiling register particularly suitable for cathedral
ceilings. When used with Windmaster, both products can further
improve overall ventilation benefits.
